What TeethXpress Can Do for You in Just One Visit

Are you missing teeth? If so, you’re not alone. 178 million Americans are missing at least one tooth, and 40 million have lost all of their teeth. If you are among this group, you may have considered dental implants. Dental implants are the gold standard, after all. They offer more structure and better oral health than dentures while lasting far longer than dental bridges. For those missing a significant number of teeth, implants are a great match because they can stand on their own, unlike bridges, which  must be supported by other teeth.

Despite these benefits, it can take weeks or even months to get implants. That’s where TeethXpress comes in to save the day. With TeethXpress, you can replace all of your missing teeth with just one appointment. Learn if this groundbreaking treatment could be right for you.

Are you interested in learning more about TeethXpress and how it can transform your smile? If so, come see the team at Mark Kramer, DDS in Tustin, California. Dr. Kramer is a renowned implantologist and fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology who can truly transform your smile. In this blog, Dr. Kramer discusses how TeethXpress works, it’s benefits, and who makes a good candidate.

What is TeethXpress?

Most dental implants are a one-for-one situation. One tooth is replaced by one implant. If you replaced every tooth with an implant, you’d have 32 implants -- that’s a lot of oral surgery, and no dentist would agree to perform so many procedures. TeethXpress works differently as a combination of implants and dentures. Implants serve as a base for a permanent prosthetic with the look and feel of real teeth.

How it works

During your appointment, Dr. Kramer will remove your remaining natural teeth. He’ll then place 4 implant posts into your jawbone. After the placement, he will take an impression of your mouth that will be sent off to the lab to make your final prosthetic dentures. You’ll be fitted with a pair of temporary dentures to wear while they’re made and the implants bond with your jawbone, a process called osseointegration. After everything is ready, you’ll come back in to be fitted with your permanent dentures and will leave with a new, beautiful smile.

What makes TeethXpress different

The implant posts used for TeethXpress are the real stars of the show. The screw threads are made to provide immediate stability, while the top part of the posts create a connective tissue attachment that saves more of your jawbone. Additionally, the abutments, which attach to the permanent dentures, put flexibility and ease of use at the forefront, making sure that you get a perfect fit. Compared with traditional dentures, TeethXpress holds the following advantages:

Like most dental implants, TeethXpress boasts a 95% success rate.

Are you a good candidate?

Dr. Kramer will conduct a thorough oral exam before recommending TeethXpress. Certain conditions, like gum disease, may need to be treated before you can move forward. In general, a good candidate for dental implants has healthy gum tissue and doesn't have periodontal disease. Additionally, Dr. Kramer will make sure your jaw is strong enough to support implants.
